Sudarat Kiat-Amnuay, DDS, MS, FACP, FAAMP, CCA
Sudarat Kiat-Amnuay, DDS, MS, FACP, FAAMP, CCA holds academic appointments as a tenured professor and director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency Program. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and the American Board of Clinical Anaplastology. She is currently a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, International Academy of Oral Oncology, International College of Dentists and the ADEA Leadership Institute.
The recipient of more than 50 teaching and research awards, Dr. Kiat-amnuay has published more than 60 abstracts and 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, and contributed to multiple book chapters. She has presented/co-presented over 200 presentations locally, nationally and internationally. She is a principal investigator of 16 funded projects, a co-principal investigator of four others, including one funded by the National Institutes of Health (5-year U01 grant, randomized controlled phase III clinical trial) and one funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (5-year HRSA residency training grant), She is a primary mentor for another 4-year HRSA faculty training grant.
Dr. Kiat-amnuay is actively engaged in clinical practice, clinical teaching, and administering a residency program. Additionally, she conducts research in the fields of maxillofacial prosthetics, prosthodontics, implant dentistry and dental biomaterials. She is a reviewer/editorial board member for several journals, including Nature Publishing Group, and is currently a member of 20 dental and medical professional organizations. She has been with UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston since 2001.
